Taylor was born and raised in Oceanside, California. She began gymnastics at age 3, which became a competitive sport until her freshman year of high school. Taylor was first introduced to yoga at age 15 by her mother, Cecile. They practiced together about once a week at a friend’s local Oceanside studio until she graduated high school and moved to Santa Barbara for college. Taylor recently became a 200 hour Registered Yoga Teacher in Vinyasa style yoga through Mantra Yoga & Juice Bar in Carlsbad, CA.
Taylor began crossfit in September 2012. Her gymnastics background lent itself well to crossfit right away. Building strength and technique in weightlifting was a slower process. But crossfit became an immediate passion. Yoga and crossfit are a perfect complement, so she will be combining her experience in both areas as a yoga instructor at Crossfit Double Barrel.
With a passion for health and fitness, Taylor began a graduate program at San Diego State University for a dual masters in Nutrition and Exercise Physiology. She will graduate in December 2015.
